In these Terms:
The Service is intended for adults. By registering an account, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old.
We do not collect date of birth and do not verify age. If we become aware that an account belongs to a person under 18, we may suspend or delete that account.
CrewMag is a tool for creating professional maritime and offshore CVs. The Service allows you to:
The Service is currently provided free of charge as a beta release. This means functionality may change, be limited, or be temporarily unavailable without prior notice. We may introduce paid features in the future; if we do, any change to the terms of paid access will be communicated in advance.
To use the Service you must register an account using an email address and a password. Authentication is handled through Supabase Auth (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or terminate an account that is used in breach of these Terms, is used for unlawful purposes, or is used to impersonate another person.
All Content in your CVs is entered by you. You are solely responsible for its accuracy, completeness and lawfulness.
You confirm that:
We do not verify, validate or certify any Content. CrewMag does not check the authenticity of certificates, sea service records, employment history or any other information. A CV produced by the Service is a formatting of what you entered; it is not a verification, endorsement or certification by us.
You must not use the Service to enter or publish content that is unlawful, fraudulent, defamatory, or that infringes the rights of others.
By default, your CVs are private and visible only to you.
A CV becomes a Public CV only when you explicitly publish it using the publish action in your dashboard. You understand and accept that:
You can withdraw a CV from publication at any time using the unpublish action. Unpublishing removes public access going forward. It cannot retrieve copies that third parties may already have made, and cached versions may remain accessible for a short period outside our control.
Publishing a CV is entirely your decision. You are not required to publish anything in order to use the Service.
Your Content remains yours. Registering and using the Service does not transfer ownership of your CV data to us.
You grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, process, reproduce and display your Content solely for the purpose of operating the Service for you — that is, to save your data, render it in the editor, generate PDF exports, and, where you have chosen to publish, display your Public CV.
This licence exists only for as long as your Content is stored in the Service and ends when the Content is deleted.
The Service itself — its software, layout, design, templates and PDF formats — remains the property of the Operator. You may not copy, resell or redistribute the Platform or its templates.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by applicable law.
We do not warrant that:
You are responsible for keeping your own copies of important CV data. Downloading a PDF export of your CV is the recommended way to do this.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of employment opportunities, loss of income, or loss of data.
Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for intentional misconduct or gross negligence, or mandatory consumer protection rights available to you under the law of your country of residence within the EU.
[LEGAL REVIEW REQUIRED] This section is drafted conservatively but has not been reviewed by a qualified lawyer. Because the Operator is a natural person, limitation-of-liability wording works differently than it would for a limited company. Review before any non-beta release.
You may request deletion of your account at any time from within the Service.
When you request deletion:
Erasure is permanent and irreversible. It covers your profile, CVs and all related records, your uploaded profile photo, and your authentication account. Data is not retained in anonymised form.
You may cancel a deletion request during the 30-day period, which restores normal account access. Cancelling does not automatically restore public visibility of previously published CVs — you would need to publish them again.
We may terminate an account in the event of a serious or repeated breach of these Terms, or where required by law.
These Terms are versioned. Each version carries a version number and an effective date.
We may amend these Terms — for example, when functionality changes or a legal requirement changes. Where a change is material, we will notify registered Users by email or through the Service before it takes effect.
Continued use of the Service after a new version takes effect constitutes acceptance of that version. If you do not accept a new version, you may stop using the Service and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Latvia.
If you are a consumer residing in the European Union, this choice of law does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your country of residence, and you may bring proceedings in the courts of your country of residence where applicable law so permits.
